Your adventure starts with a drive to the Alcantara Gorge – an ancient canyon carved deep into the volcanic rock. You'll have free time to take in the natural beauty of the 51-metre-high black lava walls or paddle in its crystalline pools. Surrounded by lots of lush vegetation, it's an amazing spot. After you've dried off, it's on to Mt Etna. The journey up the volcano will be by coach to the Sapienza refuge, 1,911 metres above sea level. Once there, you can admire the scenery or catch a cable car up to 2,911 metres for even better views.
