EGYPT AND THE NILE WITH A VISIT TO ALEXANDRIA

Panoramic visit of the Three Pyramids of Giza: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the architectural ensemble considered the most important of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. We will visit the Great Sphinx which is the human head of King Khafre and the body of a lion and we will visit the Temple of Khafre. We will have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will head to Memphis, (an open-air museum where we can admire several colossal statues of Ramses II, the great sphinx and other archaeological remains). We will continue our tours visiting the Saqqara Necropolis (that contains ancient burial grounds of Egyptian royalty, serving as the necropolis for the ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis) and the stepped pyramid, the first large pyramid designed by Imhotep, the first known architect in the world who designed this pyramid for Pharaoh Djoser and revolutionized the architecture of the time, cultural tour of the city to visit the Citadel of Saladin, declared as the World Heritage Site and which has the Mohamed Ali Mosque or "The Alabaster Mosque" and the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities where we can see the treasures of Tutankhamun. We will continue our visit s today knowing the Coptic neighborhood and the Church of San Sergio, place where the Holy Family took refuge. We will take a break for lunch in a local restaurant and have some free time to do some shopping in the famous Khan El Khalili market. Return to the hotel, Luxor, transfer to the ship and boarding the ship. Lunch on board of the ship. Visit to the Temple of Karnak which is considered the largest temple in Egypt, with its Avenue of the Rams and its room with 132 columns and visit the Temple of Luxor dedicated to the god Amun-Ra where the Avenue Of The Sphinxes, the Obelisk with more than 25 meters high, the statues of Ramses II and the Naos.
